I never thought I would call myself a photographer. Though I've spent a lifetime in the arts, my focus has always been on music. I grew up learning various musical instruments, focused on the discipline in college, and completed a master's degree in music theory. Nevertheless, my interest in the arts has evolved into an obsession with photography.
Like music, photography can be an interpretive art, with its practitioners revealing a certain truth about a person or object. For me, photography is always subjective, and the power of photography is the opportunity to relay to others my view of the world, of people, places, and things around me.
I classify myself as a photojournalistic fine art and portrait photography because I attempt to tell stories with my photographs. Please contact me for your portrait and fine art photography needs in Chico, California, and the surrounding areas.
